So I’m canceling Kagegiving this year, since we’re in a very fucked up time frame.

If you have paid any attention to my page for very long, you know that I’m not a team player when it comes to politics or a lot of other things. There is no incentive for me to be, as I don’t like to live in echo chambers and unlike most people who use the social media, I don’t need the RT, Heart, Like on my stuff to keep me going. I go in spite of all that, since thinking for myself is a need, vs the need to be liked by most others.

I haven’t voted since 2016 and I’m actually far happier sitting out. I don’t know why I didn’t do so sooner. I think back on all that time wasted between 2004-2016 from my 1st vote of John Kerry, to my last vote, Hillary Clinton.

While I don’t vote anymore, it hasn’t stopped me from being informed, which is ultimately more important and while I do err more towards the conservative side, I recognize that both teams have their head up their ass and pretty much have since I was born.

So even though I’m convinced that Kamala was the worse possible candidate of the two, Trump doesn’t make me more excited either. Hopefully this will be the year towards mending the divide in the country and working to reestablish a balance between the horrible two party system.

For this year, instead of sitting on the internet, binge reading or watching stuff that unimportant to your life, be thankful for your family, friends, pets and other loved ones.
